A Beaumont man has been sentenced to federal prison for violations in the Eastern District of Texas. Jamar Byars, also known as Jamar Limbrick, 21, pleaded guilty on April 25, 2022, to Hobbs Act robbery and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence and was sentenced to 117 months in federal prison by U.S.

The National Weather Service is calling for more unsettled weather for the Texoma area this week. Though there is a possibility of some thunderstorms, they are not, as of Monday, expected to reach the level of the storms that saw hail as large as golf balls on Thursday.
