TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday signed a bill that gives him control of Walt Disney World’s self-governing district, punishing the company over its opposition to the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” law.

Letter to the editor: Calling out Sherman leaders

News of the recent explosive train derailment in Ohio should serve as a wake-up call to municipalities around Texoma through which non-passenger, freight-carrying trains routinely travel. If any of those trains transport certain toxic chemicals and should there be a derailment event, it should be noted that specific fire suppression agents are required to suppress the hazard. Standard supplies often are ineffective.
