Local students got an up close look at Southeastern Oklahoma State University this past weekend when the campus welcomed several hundred high school and community college students to the site. The Friday and Saturday events were a part of recruiting events that took place on those days.

An Anna man who once volunteered at Denison Church of the Nazarene was sentenced to 60 years in federal prison last week. Chad Michael Rider, 49, was found guilty last year of three counts of the sexual exploitation of children, also referred to as the production of child pornography.

In January, the Denison City Council voted unanimously to start the process of ending water service for the development following what city officials described as months of non-payment of its water bills. And last week, the Public Utility Commission of Texas announced a new manager had been appointed to oversee the development’s water services following non-payment of services.
