A new term, but all-too familiar talking points

The best inaugurations are celebrations of hope that offer a vision for the future while reflecting on the past. They unite, inspire and honor diverse perspectives. Less successful inaugurations, however, are more aligned with political rallies that devalue differing views. Tuesday’s inauguration for Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick fell somewhere in between. It wasn’t as uniting as one might hope.

Work at US75/US82 expected to ramp up this summer

The Texas Department of Transportation is expecting work to ramp up on one of the final major portions of the ongoing U.S. Highway 75 “gap” project this summer. Officials with the department said crews will shift their focus starting in June to ongoing work at the intersection of U.S. highways 75 and 82 with construction expected to be substantially complete by year’s end.

1966-2022 Garry “Todd” LeFlore longtime resident of Sherman, Texas passed away peacefully on December 20, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at Medical City Dallas. Todd was born January 21, 1966, to Garry and Lillian LeFlore in McAlester, Oklahoma.
