Denison man gets 30 years for ag sexual assault, porn

David James Sagers, 43, of Denison, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and 20 years in prison for two counts of Possession with Intent to Promote Child Pornography. Sagers’ sentence resulted from a plea agreement with the Grayson County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. The Honorable Judge Larry Phillips of the 59th District Court accepted the plea and pronounced the sentence. The defendant is required to register as a sex offender for life and will be subject to a lifetime protective order with the victims in this case. All sentences will run concurrent. Due to the nature of the offenses of conviction, the defendant must serve at least half of his sentence before being considered for parole.

Sibling of deceased brother floored by widow’s actions
