President Emmanuel Macron of France and his wife Brigitte have just completed a formal state visit to the United States hosted by President and Mrs. Joe Biden. The polished public events smooth over policy conflicts, which is of course their purpose.

Over the past week muralist and artist William Tyler Story has worked on a new mural and piece of public art outside of Corley Law Firm that will overlook downtown from atop the city’s streetscape. On the brink of his wedding, the gifted mural holds a special meaning for Story and his family.

NEW YORK (AP) — Clarence Gilyard Jr., a popular supporting actor whose credits include the blockbuster films “Die Hard” and “Top Gun” and the hit television series “Matlock” and “Walker, Texas Ranger,” has died at age 66.

Laura Ann Morgan of Pottsboro, Texas, passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 86. She was born August 15, 1936, to Willard Lee Craghead and Gertrude Sparks, in Chambersville, TX.
House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy said that if he becomes the next speaker, members of the House of Representatives will take turns reciting the Constitution in its entirety on Jan. 3, the first day of the new session. It’s a stunt apparently calculated to promote GOP members as the true constitutional guardians, as they replace Democrats as House leaders.
