On Wall Street, extreme punishments for weak profit reports

NEW YORK (AP) — When it comes to meeting Wall Street’s expectations for profit and sales, it’s put-up-or-get-beat-up time for CEOs. It hasn’t happened very often, but when companies have turned in both weaker profits and sales this reporting season than analysts expected, investors have walloped them with record-sized punishments for their stock prices.

Former Southeastern president Kate Galt Zaneis, distinguished alum Buddy Spencer inducted into Oklahoma Higher Ed Hall of Fame

Southeastern Oklahoma State was well-represented Tuesday night as the Oklahoma Higher Education Heritage Society inducted 11 individuals into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame for 2022. Among that group were Kate Galt Zaneis, late president of Southeastern State Teachers College, and Buddy Spencer, businessman and SE Distinguished Alumnus.
