Bride-To-Be Doesn’t Want Sister In Wedding Party

Dear Abby: I became engaged to a wonderful man five months ago. We have set a wedding date for next year. I’m ecstatic -- thrilled to be planning such an important milestone in my life. I’m the youngest of five girls. Four of us are extremely close. Three of my sisters have graciously offered to help with the wedding planning and preparation. I have included them in my bridal party -- matron of honor, two bridesmaids, and two of my teenage nieces as junior bridesmaids.

Construction continues: TxDOT plans for end-of-year projects

“These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues,” the news release said. “Motorists are advised to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades, and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.”

Machete wielding man sentence to 26 years

James Alexander Stuart, 59, of Sherman, was sentenced to 26 years in prison for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Stuart was found guilty following a trial on October 17, 2022. Judge Brian Gary of 397th District Court pronounced the sentence today. Due to the nature of the offense the defendant must serve at least at least half of his sentence before being considered for parole.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — HBO has pulled the plug on “Westworld,” its Emmy-winning sci-fi drama. The series’ cancellation came less than three months after its fourth season concluded in August.
