John C. Brown

SHERMAN - Mr. John “John C” Cornelius Brown , age 77 of Sherman, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was a 1964 graduate of Fred Douglas, and a Disabled Army Veteran who served faithfully during the Vietnam War. John C is survived by his children; Nadia Fitzpatrick of Fort Worth and Derek Jackson of Sherman, siblings; Robert E. Brown (Delia), Charles T. Brown (Patricia), Latiece Rutherford (Jerald), Dolores Brown (Rickey) and Scharmane Medrano. Public viewing will be from 10:00Am 6:00PM on Friday, with funeral services at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 12th at Cravens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow at 9:00AM on Monday November 14th at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of the Cravens Funeral Home, 700 N. Expunge most juvenile records

Criminal justice research long has shown that most young people who enter the juvenile justice system are not on a path to committing crimes as adults. As a report by the state Juvenile Justice Task Force that was formed in 2019 to improve the system put it, “most youth in the juvenile justice system have little or no prior history of delinquency, have not committed a felony or a (personal) offense, and do not score as high risk to reoffend.” Juvenile offenders often are stuck forever with their juvenile records — even when charges are dismissed or withdrawn.

Price of medication for atrial fibrillation starts to climb

Dear Dr. Roach: My husband is taking Eliquis for atrial fibrillation (AFib). The cost is going up, and there is no generic brand for Eliquis. Looking at drug websites, I have found other drugs that are anticoagulants: Xarelto, heparin and warfarin are a few. Is there a generic brand you would recommend that we can ask his doctor about to see if they will let him take that instead?
