LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Hollywood sign is getting a makeover befitting its status as a Tinseltown icon. After a pressure-wash and some rust removal, workers this week began using 250 gallons (946 liters) of primer and white paint to spruce up the sign ahead of its centennial next year.

“Charlotte Barton Buchanan was born October 27, 1965 in California to Jeannie Marie Weinel and Terry Lee Barton. She was raised in the foothills of West Virginia, and the Hollars of Ohio. Those grieving her are her Husband Scott, Son Michael, Daughter Jessica, Sister Terri Lynn, Neice Aimee, Nephew Justin, Neice Chasity, 10 grand neices and nephews, Brothers Donald and Johnnie, Grandma Barton, Uncle Don, Aunts Joyce and Cheryl. Proceeded in death by Dad Terry Lee, Mother Jeannie Drennen, infant brother, and brother Ronald Drennen. Arrangements were made by Marana Mortuary
William Leon Harwell, Sr., 88, of Pampa and formerly of Whitesboro, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 in Pampa. William was born August 27, 1934 in Waldron, Arkansas to James and Madlein Harwell.
