Case of enlarged pelvic veins are not a cause for concern

Dear Dr. Roach: I’m a 71-year-old female with no children, but I did have an ectopic pregnancy at age 43. Other than that, I have had no “female” issues. I was getting a CT scan for my spleen area, when it was discovered I had enlarged pelvic veins in my groin. I don’t have pelvic pain, nor do I have pain with sex, so the only symptoms I have, which may or may not be related, are bloating and some constipation.

Bryan County History: The Life and Times of Ormal H. Perkins

Ormal Hulett Perkins, the son of Thomas J. Perkins and Ophelia Hulett Perkins, was born on the fourth of July, 1876. His father was a very wealthy businessman. On the third day of September, 1902, Ormal was united in marriage with Eathel Nail, daughter of Joel H. Nail, another wealthy businessman. The Herald pronounced him one of Durant’s “most excellent young men” and the bride one of Caddo’s “loveliest ladies”. The editor wished the young couple a “pleasant journey through life”, but that journey was cut short when Eathel died of tuberculosis in 1904. A year after her death Ormal and his father-in-law had a little confrontation over some diamonds that were in Mr. Perkins’ possession.
