Walt Disney Co. said Wednesday it is raising prices for streaming subscribers in the U.S. who want to watch Disney+ without ads, as more viewers switch to what CEO Bob Chapek described as the “best value in streaming.”

Carl Ray Waltz

Carl Ray Waltz, 91, died August 19, 2022, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX from complications during his recovery and rehab from his rescue in February following three days of being trapped in his house. Carl was born April 9, 1931, to his parents Allene Lois (Bush) Waltz (d.1979) and Leo John Waltz (d.1950) of Denison, TX. Carl is survived by his brother, Leo Francis Waltz (Mary Margaret Carlisle) of Webster, TX. Carl was married in 1982 to Lillian Zuercher (formerly Lillian Imparato & Coonrod) for a number of years, but some years after the divorce she died in 2012 in California where her son lived. After graduation from Denison High School, Carl started college at North Texas State Teachers College in Denton (now North Texas University). Upon the death of his father, Carl dropped out of college to assist in the family business, Chris Waltz Supply Company.
