GUNTER — The Tigers have spent the past six years receiving plenty of attention since capturing a championship in 2016 and all of the postseason success which has followed. But Gunter really had the eyes of the state on it when the University Interscholastic League was conducting its latest realignment.

HOWE — There was no team in Texoma looking forward to realignment more than the Bulldogs. Mired in a losing streak dating back to the 2019 season, Howe was searching for some optimism and the program got it in a big way.

SADLER — There can be such a thin line between making the playoffs and staying home and last year the Rams found themselves on the wrong side of the ledger. Despite its best defensive performance of the season, S&S was shut out and the loss to Whitewright was the difference — the Tigers got the district’s last playoff spot and the Rams stayed home in fifth place.

POTTSBORO — If there is anything about the Cardinals under head coach Matt Poe, it is that Pottsboro will always be in contention. Even if there are bumps in the road, you can almost certainly find the Cards in the playoffs after being near the top of the district standings.
