Charging a former president with crimes would be an extraordinary development in American history and carries the risk of forever reshaping our politics as well as the very future of the nation. It should not be undertaken lightly.

Staff Sgt. Robert Van Copeland, 76, passed away Tuesday morning, July 26, 2022 in Denison, Texas after a lengthy illness. He was born at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas on July 6, 1946, the son of Maj. Richard Theodore and Viola Agnes (Lloyd) Copeland.
David Michael Judkins of Sherman, TX passed away at the age of 83 on July 25th, 2022. David was born on December 8th, 1938, in Oklahoma City, OK, where he attended and graduated from Putnam City High School and also participated in football, wrestling and baseball.
So it has come to this? It boggles the mind that in the year 2022, members of the U.S. House, Republican and Democrat, conservative and liberal, from the East, West, North and South, could not muster the decency and sense of fairness to vote unanimously for a bill that affirms the legality of interracial and gay marriages.
As the Legislature prepares to consider further restrictions on abortion, our hope is that lawmakers and the public at large can conduct themselves in a respectful manner that allows for open debate and negotiation.
