Heritage Ranch to bring 750 new homes

Covenant Development is partnering with Rockhill Capital & Investments to develop one of Sherman’s upcoming mixed-use development. Covenant Development announced plans Monday with Rockhill Capital to develop more than 750 single-family homes as a part of the residential component of the Heritage Ranch planned development.

“The Latecomer” by Jean Hanff Korelitz (Celadon Books) Wealthy, dysfunctional families are so common in novels that it’s easy to dismiss books centered around them. Don’t make that mistake with “The Latecomer,” which introduces readers to the Oppenheimers, a New York family with triplets born via IVF who were “in full flight from one another as far back as their ancestral petri dish.” The novel’s title contains the key to the story, a fourth child added to the family as the triplets leave home for college.

DeWine’s plan is only part of the solution for school security

After last month’s tragedy in Uvalde, Texas, Gov. Mike DeWine likely was doing what most of us were doing — wondering how to stop the massacres in our schools that just keep happening. But being a governor, DeWine was in a position to quickly “do something,” as it were, and announce plans to spend “a significant amount of money” on ensuring every school building in the state is protected.
