Bitcoin in 401(k) becoming a reality

NEW YORK – More workers may soon be able to stake some of their 401(k) retirement savings to bitcoin, as cryptocurrencies crack even deeper into the mainstream. Retirement giant Fidelity said Tuesday that it’s launched a way for workers to put some of their 401(k) savings and contributions directly in bitcoin, potentially up to 20%, all from the account’s main menu of investment options.

Experts: Melissa Lucio faces tough fight to get new trial

HOUSTON – With Melissa Lucio’s execution put on indefinite hold by a Texas appeals court, her attorneys will now be focused on trying to convince a judge to recommend she get a new trial. But that’s expected to be a tough courtroom battle and even if they manage to get the trial judge on their side, the state’s top criminal court – which has the final say – might disagree and keep her conviction in place, legal experts said Tuesday.

TCOG to offer help with water payments

TCOG has funding available to assist with restoration of household water services for residents of Collin, Cooke, Denton, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt and Rockwall counties. At a recent meeting of the Texoma Council of Governments Board of Directors, the organization agreed to help administer the program which has up to $1,883,370 to spend on direct services to those in need of help with their water payments.

Reese Witherspoon becomes part-owner of Nashville MLS team Actor Reese Witherspoon and Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry have joined the ownership group of Major League Soccer’s Nashville team ahead of the opening Sunday of Geodis Park, its 30,000- seat stadium. Witherspoon’s husband, agent and investor Jim Toth, also has joined the ownership group, the team said Tuesday.

Gluten-free diet may not be cause of relief of symptoms
