DURANT — Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Urald King has been named the Great American Conference Player of the Week after leading the Savage Storm to a 2-0 start in GAC play.

DURANT — Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Urald King has been named the Great American Conference Player of the Week after leading the Savage Storm to a 2-0 start in GAC play.


King shot 57.1 percent from the floor for the week and 81.8 percent from the free throw line to average 16.5 points per game over the two-game week which helped push SE to 4-0 overall on the season.


He also averaged a double-double with 12 rebounds per outing.


King turned in his biggest outing in the victory over Henderson State, finishing with 19 points and 15 rebounds.


In the Saturday win over Ouachita Baptist he just missed a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.


On the week King also added five steals and a pair of blocked shots.


Southeastern will be back in action tonight when it travels to Dallas Baptist at 7 p.m.
