SADLER — Whitewright’s Keely Selman and Anna Shope each tripled to help the Lady Tigers take a 6-1 victory in District 11-2A action at S&S on Monday.

SADLER — Whitewright’s Keely Selman and Anna Shope each tripled to help the Lady Tigers take a 6-1 victory in District 11-2A action at S&S on Monday.


Selman finished 2-for-4 at the plate for Whitewright (16-2, 3-1) while Shope went 2-for-3 with two runs batted in.


Tori Perkins picked up her eleventh win in the circle while Hatty Shope went 1-for-3 with one RBI for Whitewright, which will host Tom Bean at 10 a.m. today.


Riley Stogner signed and scored, Brittany Butler drove in a run and Paige Porter struck out 12 for S&S, which will travel to Pottsboro at 1 p.m. today


Tom Bean 7, Howe 3


TOM BEAN — Caroline Henderson’s two-run home run in the first inning gave Tom Bean the lead for good in a district win over Howe on Monday.


Henderson added an RBI triple in the second for Tom Bean (11-5, 2-2) before finishing 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three runs batted in.


Annie Bailey recorded nine strikeouts and allowed just three walks in the win, Katie Jones went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Sarah Henderson was 2-for-4 with one run for Tom Bean, which plays at Whitewright at 10 a.m. today.


Howe will host Whitesboro at 7 p.m. tonight.

WHITESBORO — Kacie Jones was 3-for-3 with three RBI was Whitesboro run-ruled Bells in district action on Monday afternoon.


Alexus Vanlandingham had two hits, two RBI and stole a base, Taren Dillion and Ashley Griffin each scored twice and Katie Dean struck out 10 for Whitesboro (13-2, 4-0), which plays at Howe today.

Anna 12, Melissa 4


ANNA — Madison Boedeker had two hits for Melissa during the Lady Cardinals’ district-opening loss against Anna on Monday afternoon.


Haley Hill scored a run and had an RBI while Kelsey Smith and Bailey Church each scored for Melissa (7-12, 0-1), which returns to action at Community on March 21.


Down 3-1 in the third, Anna scored seven times to take control.
