Denison (10-3-1, 3-1) had a 5-0 lead after two innings before Lovejoy scored six times in the fourth.


Cassidy McDaris drove in two runs, Shelby Lindsey had two hits and Jaydan Hunt scored a pair of runs for the Lady Jackets, who host first-place Wylie at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night at Culpepper Field.


Non-district Sam Rayburn 20, North Hopkins 9 (5)


IVANHOE — Abbie Dow hit a grand slam, doubled and finished 3-for-4 with six RBI as Sam Rayburn scored 19 unanswered runs to run-rule North Hopkins in five innings on Friday.


Brittnie Whirley and Hannah Fulmer each singled, joining Ashli Montgomery and Dow in scoring three runs for Sam Rayburn (7-7), which trailed 9-1 after the top of the third.


Dow’s slam highlighted a nine-run third inning for Sam Rayburn, which starts District 14-A play at Honey Grove on Tuesday.


San Marcos Tmt. Burkburnett 6, Dodd City 2


SAN MARCOS — Jaley Matteson tripled and homered as she led Burkburnett to a victory against Dodd City at the San Marcos Tournament on Friday.


Katelyn Woodlee’s two-run home run in the top of the third inning was the only scoring by the Lady Hornets. Jenna Wallace added a double for the only other hit for Dodd City.
