Regan Hestand added 15 points and Mackenzie Mazerolle scored 12 for Gunter, which led 23-10 at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Tigers will compete in the Ponder Tournament starting on Thursday.

Macie O’Hanlon had 14 points and Justus Malone added 12 points for the Lady Cardinals (1-1).

Bonham 39, Greenville 37

BONHAM — Kala Simpson hit two free throws with 13.3 seconds left to lift Bonham over Greenville.

Simpson scored nine of her team-high 11 points in the fourth quarter for Bonham, which plays Thursday in the Quinlan Ford Tournament against Greenville at 12:10 p.m. and Sunnyvale at 1:30 p.m.

Kelsey Watkins had seven points and Ali Anzaldua scored six for Bonham.

Sam Rayburn 52, Tom Bean 42

IVANHOE — Keeley Spence had 14 points, four assists and two steals as Sam Rayburn defeated Tom Bean in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Courtney Clark scored 10 points, Kaylee Waldrop chipped in nine points and Heather Mason added eight points and 10 rebounds for Sam Rayburn (2-0), which competes in the Bells Tournament starting on Thursday.

Katie Jones scored 13 points, Annie Bailey added nine points, three assists and three steals, Alex Hendry grabbed six rebounds and Ramie Byers and Sierra Harris each finished with five points for Tom Bean (0-1), which hosts Muenster on Friday.

Whitesboro 51, Sacred Heart 47

WHITESBORO — Alexus Vanlandingham had 15 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and four steals as Whitesboro edged Sacred Heart in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Ashley Cooper scored 12 points, Kristen McCanlies added eight points, 10 rebounds and three steals, Kerigan McCanlies finished with seven points and Kristen Phelps totaled seven points, two steals and two blocks for Whitesboro.

Leonard 58, Saltillo 57

LEONARD — Kimmy Blackburn scored 15 points as Leonard edged Saltillo in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Chasity Cummings added nine points, Malena Farber chipped in eight points and Cheyenne Baker, Brittyn Rushing and Lexi Devincentis all finished with five points apiece for Leonard (2-0), which opens play at the Bells Tournament on Thursday.

Anna 46, Whitewright 40

WHITEWRIGHT — Dee Moreno had a game-high 21 points as Anna defeated Whitewright in non-district play.

Sydney Brummett and Anna Shope each scored 11 points and Blare Wornhor added 10 for Whitewright (0-2), which starts play in the Miller Grove Tournament on Thursday morning.

Pilot Point 54, Howe 50

HOWE — Monica Kinzie scored 18 points and Allison Ray added 15 points as Pilot Point defeated Howe in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Riley Harvey scored 31 points, Alissa Smith added seven points and Darci Foster and Holly Hawkins finished with five points apiece for Howe (0-1), which hosts Farmersville on Tuesday night.

Bells 60, Trenton 20

BELLS — Carlee Shelby scored 10 points as Bells defeated Trenton in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Katie Branam totaled nine points, Bailey Wornhor added eight points and three steals, Caylee Duvall chipped in eight points and Katie Shults and Kinley Ives each finished with six points for Bells.

Bria Green and Elizabeth Prater scored six points apiece to lead Trenton (1-1), which faces Slidell at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Campbell Tournament.

Texoma Christian 59, Paris 55

Haylie Ross had 31 points and 11 rebounds as Texoma Christian rallied to defeat Paris in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Hannah Bentsen just missed a triple-double with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists and Emily McCarthy scored 10 points for the Lady Eagles (3-0), who outscored Paris 21-5 in the fourth quarter.

Texoma Christian returns to action when it hosts Frisco Legacy on Tuesday.

Valley View 48, S&S 39

SADLER — Jessika Dyke scored 20 points for S&S but Valley View defeated the Lady Rams in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Sarah Barber and Brooke Rankin each finished with six points for the Lady Rams (0-2), who travel to Era on Tuesday.

Campbell 49, Dodd City 26

CAMPBELL — Fallon Hilliard had 10 rebounds and nine points during Dodd City’s season-opening loss to Campbell in a rematch of the teams’ 2013 area-round game.

Keeshia Thompson scored 10 points and Lauren Hilliard garnered eight rebounds for Dodd City (0-1).

Bland 44, Ector 31

ECTOR — Kelsee Nelson scored 11 points for Ector but Bland defeated the Lady Eagles in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Tiffany Sellers added seven points and Lorielen Rosenbaum chipped in six points for Ector (0-3), which plays at Trenton on Tuesday night.
