GEORGETOWN — The Sherman boys soccer team opened the Georgetown tournament with a 2-0 victory against Beaumont Westbrook on Thursday night.


Christian Casco scored in the first half to give Sherman the lead for good and Raul Orellana got a goal off a corner kick from Cristian Salazar in the second half.


Joseph Kahlaf made 12 saves to earn the shutout for Sherman (2-1), which plays Georgetown at 5 p.m. tonight as tournament play continues.
