Emily Fagan finished with eight points and nine steals while Carlee Shelby and Katie Branam chipped in six points apiece for the Lady Panthers.


Shults had 19 points, Branam added 11 points, four rebounds and four assists and Shelby scored six points in Bells’ 44-40 loss to Honey Grove in other tournament action.


Sam Rayburn 37, Van Alstyne 23


BELLS — Heather Mason scored 18 points as Sam Rayburn defeated Van Alstyne at the Bells Tournament on Thursday.


Keely Spence added seven points while Ashley Vance and Kelcie McBroom finished with five points apiece for Sam Rayburn (4-0).


Kaylee Waldrop scored 13 points, Mason added 12 points and McBroom finished with five points as the Lady Rebels opened the tournament with a 41-25 victory against Commerce. Sam Rayburn will face Honey Grove at 4 p.m. today as tourney action continues.


Leonard 58, Pottsboro 55


BELLS — Kimmy Blackburn scored 15 points as Leonard edged Pottsboro in the Bells Tournament on Thursday.


Macie O’Hanlon and Lindsey Evans each scored 15 points to lead the Lady Cardinals while Jordan Slagle finished with 12 points.


Blackburn scored 21 points for Leonard as the Tigerettes defeated Aubrey, 48-42, in other tournament action.


Anna 45, Saint Jo 30


BELLS — Dee Moreno scored 24 points as Anna opened the Bells Tournament with a victory against Saint Jo on Thursday.


The Lady Coyotes pulled away by outscoring Saint Jo 17-3 in the fourth quarter.

Blue Ridge 29, Detroit 23


CAMPBELL — Kendyl White scored 13 points as Blue Ridge opened the Campbell Tournament with a victory against Detroit on Thursday.


Torey Crosswhite added seven points and Kaylie Kennon chipped in six points for Blue Ridge, which outscored Detroit 13-1 in the second quarter.


Trenton 37, Slidell 26


CAMPBELL — Jordan Withrow scored 13 points as Trenton opened the Campbell Tournament with a win over Slidell on Thursday afternoon.


Bria Green added 12 points and Kellie Connelly chipped in nine points for Trenton (2-1), which faces Dallas Christian today at 3:30 p.m. as tournament play continues.

FW Christian 67, Howe 51


PONDER — Brice Harvey scored 23 points for Howe but Fort Worth Christian defeated the Bulldogs at the Ponder Tournament on Thursday.


John Jacob Talley finished with 17 points for the Bulldogs.


Harvey scored 10 points as Howe opened the tournament with a 76-36 loss against Decatur. Michael Aehrer chipped in eight points while Griffin Underwood and Talley had five points apiece for Howe (1-2), which faces Argyle Liberty Christian at 8:30 a.m. today as tourney play continues.
