WHITEWRIGHT — Braden Ritchie had a bases-loaded single to score Justin Ward for Whitewright’s walkoff 4-3 win against Tom Bean in District 11-2A play on Tuesday night.


Ritchie, who finished 3-for-4, was one of three players to hit doubles for Whitewright (4-9, 1-1), including Dylan Kendrick and Ward.


Kendrick went 2-for-4 with one RBI while Burke Hosier was 2-for-3 and scored twice for Whitewright, which plays at S&S at noon on Thursday.


Tom Bean’s Tyler Danner got the only two hits for the Tomcats, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.


Pottsboro 1, Callisburg 0


CALLISBURG — Zane Pritchett scored the only run on an error in the fifth inning and Max Dodd threw a one-hitter as Pottsboro edged Callisburg in district action on Tuesday.


Pritchett was hit by a pitch, stole second and then went to third on a passed ball with two outs. The ensuing throw back to the mound went over the pitcher’s head and Pritchett raced home.


Dodd struck out 10 and worked around a walk and two hit batters after a first-inning double by Jake Parker.


Pottsboro (7-5, 3-0), which managed just two hits, will plays at Bells on Tuesday.


District 12-2A Leonard 6, Farmersville 4


FARMERSVILLE — Ty McKinney held off Farmersville for seven solid innings in Leonard’s district win over Farmersville on Tuesday night.


McKinney, who allowed just two earned runs on six hits, struck out eight and walked just one. Blake Cummings, Ryan Nixon and and Grant Hicks all went 3-for-3, each collecting at least one RBI.


Leonard (11-3, 2-0) will host Sunnyvale at 7 p.m. on Friday while Farmersville plays at Van Alstyne today at 1:30 p.m.
