Reed Collum scattered seven hits and struck out eight in six and two-thirds innings to get the victory, Jacob Bounds had an RBI double, Matt Farrell was 2-for-3 and scored a run and Daniel Griffin singled, scored and drove in a run for S&S (11-7, 4-3), which led 5-0 after five innings.


Whitewright 7, Pottsboro 3


WHITEWRIGHT — Kelby Shaw went 2-for-3, including a home run, and drove in three runs as Whitesboro defeated Pottsboro.


Justin Ward went 1-for-2, scored twice and drove in two runs for Whitewright while Drake Bearden was 1-for-3 with one run scored and two RBI.


Kory Waller finished 2-for-4 and scored once while Ryan Johnson went 2-for-3 with one run scored for Pottsboro.


Whitewright will play again at 7 p.m. Friday at Bells. Pottsboro will look to rebound at 4:30 p.m. Friday at home against Callisburg.


District 12-3A Bonham 6, Community 3


BONHAM — Cole Sparks allowed only a hit and no earned runs in five innings as Bonham defeated Community to complete its first half of district play.


Sparks had seven strikeouts and walked six for Bonham, which reached the midpoint at 3-1 and has the 12-3A bye on Tuesday.


Jordan Quintana had two RBI and pitched the final two innings for the save for Bonham, which led 6-0 after four innings via a four-run fourth.


Jared Prock had an RBI on a squeeze bunt for Bonham while Greg Moses and Sparks also each garnered an RBI.


District 12-2A Gunter 2, Farmersville 0


FARMERSVILLE — Reagan MacDonald struck out six in a complete-game shutout as Gunter defeated Farmersville in district action on Saturday.


Ben Fisher drove in a run for Gunter (16-9, 5-1) on a sac fly in the first inning for an early one-run lead. Troy Watson, who went 2-for-3, drove in the other run in the second and Nate Yansky chipped in with a double.


District 16-A Dodd City 16, Celeste 5 (5)


DODD CITY — Hunter Vaught had four hits and Josh DeGregorio and Kyle Turner added three each as Dodd City had 16 during a five-inning run-rule win over Celeste in district play on Friday.


DeGregorio also had three RBI during an 11-run fourth inning for Dodd City (6-7, 4-2), which won its fourth straight district game. Dakota Brown singled, doubled and stole a base in the fourth while Lane Hardy hit an RBI double and Vaught added two hits.


Dodd City reliever Dalton Underwood struck out seven in 2 2/3 innings to get the win, striking out the side in the fifth to close the game.


Wolfe City 11, Sam Rayburn 2


WOLFE CITY — Dawson Caldwell went 3-for-4, scored twice and drove in three runs as Wolfe City defeated Sam Rayburn.


Malik Gaffney finished 3-for-5, scored three runs and drove in another for Wolfe City. Trenton Turney added two runs and drove in two runs for second-place Wolfe City (8-5, 5-1) which will host Campbell at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.


Jake Carson was 3-for-4 with one RBI, Dalton Russell chipped in two hits and scored a run while Taylor Dollgener was 2-for-2 for the Rebels (8-9, 1-5).
