The Austin College baseball team committed five errors and stranded 11 runners as the ‘Roos fell, 6-2, to Texas Lutheran University in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series sweep on Saturday.

The Austin College baseball team committed five errors and stranded 11 runners as the ‘Roos fell, 6-2, to Texas Lutheran University in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference series sweep on Saturday.


Texas Lutheran took advantage of a throwing error in the top of the third to get on the board with three runs, and Austin College (2-15, 0-6) answered with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning to make it 3-1. Patrick Renz singled home Daniel Keene for the Austin College run.


In the fourth inning the Bulldogs added a run when Tony Gennusa hit a solo homer to make it 4-1 and TLU added two more runs with the second coming home on an error to make it a 6-1 ballgame.
