The Cardinals (8-3) will face either May or Blum in the region final next week. This was a re-match from last year’s area round, which was won by Gordon (7-5).

The Cardinals took an 8-0 lead in the final minute before half-time on a 17-yard run by Jeremy Hardamon. Savoy extended its lead touchdown in the middle of the third quarter.

Gordon pulled within 14-6 in the middle of the fourth quarter but the Cardinals answered with a touchdown in the ensuing possession.
