James Gillean drove in Willie Schwanke on a game-ending single in the ninth inning of Wednesday’s NTJCAC nightcap, giving Grayson College a 3-2 win and salvaging a split with Temple College at Dub Hayes Field.

Mikey Wade was the winner in relief of starter Landon Wilson, who went 8 1/3 innings and scattered seven hits with six strikeouts and two walks.


Austin Krajnak hit a pair of doubles with an RBI in the fourth inning, and Jean Ramirez added an RBI hit in the sixth to tie the game at 2-2.


In Game 1, Krajnak was 2-for-3 with a single and a triple, but the Vikings fell, 4-3. Schwanke took the loss in a complete game, allowing three earned runs on nine hits with only one walk.


Grayson (17-8, 8-2) will make a return trip to Temple on Saturday.
