The wins give SOSU (9-5) a 6-1 record in its seven-game home stand as the team has won five in a row.


Ryan Salter and Trevor Bowen led the way in game one, posting two hits each as well as a pair of RBI each.


Nick Johnson tossed six innings, allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits to move to 2-2 on the season.


In the finale, Springer turned in a 3-for-3 effort, while Soisson was 2-for-4. Collin Sefcik and Jacob Carter each drove in four runs, while Soisson picked up two and Springer drove in one.


Springer and Chance Burcham each scored three runs, while Sefcik scored twice.


Jaime Paxton (1-0)tossed five innings, allowing a run on one hit with six strikeouts.


Mathew Benedict came on in relief and tossed two innings and allowed just one hit.
