SAN ANTONIO — No. 10 Southeastern Oklahoma State closed out its season-opening trip to the St. Mary’s Tournament with a split on Monday afternoon, beating Texas A&M-International, 7-2, before falling to St. Edward’s, 4-2.

Sydney Kramer, Lacie Cook and Laramie Beal each collected a pair of hits, with Beal and Darrian Williams each adding a pair of RBI in the victory


Mindy McElroy picked up the win after tossing 5.1 innings and allowing a pair of unearned runs on eight hits with three strikeouts. Jacee Bennett came on for the save and tossed 1.2 innings and allowed just one hit for the Storm (3-2).


In the finale, Kramer turned in a three-hit outing, with Jessica Simmons and Beal each adding a pair of hits as the Storm piled up nine hits.


Shayna Milam was saddled with the loss after allowing three runs on seven hits in 1.2 innings of work.


The Storm will host the Southeastern Regional Invitational from Feb. 7-9.
