BETHANY, Okla. — Southeastern put up six runs in the top of the ninth inning, but saw its rally fall one run shy in the series finale in a 12-11 loss at Southern Nazarene on Saturday.


SOSU (12-13, 6-9 GAC) piled up 15 hits in the contest, led by a 4-for-5 outing by Trevor Bowen, while Jacob Carter, Ryan Salter and Cody Coats each put up two hits.


Coats had a pair of home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in seven runs on the contest, while Bowen added two RBI and Carter and Salter each added one.


Jaime Paxton got the start and was saddled with the loss after tossing 1 2/3 innings and allowing five runs, four earned, on six hits with three strikeouts.
