SHAWNEE, Okla. — Southeastern’s men bounced back from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to win five of six singles matches in a 6-3 win over Oklahoma Baptist on Monday evening.

SHAWNEE, Okla. — Southeastern’s men bounced back from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play to win five of six singles matches in a 6-3 win over Oklahoma Baptist on Monday evening.


Alberto Blesa and Tiago Ferreira picked up the team’s lone doubles win at No. 2, 8-0.


The Storm (4-0) rebounded in singles play, highlighted by a Blesa victory at No. 1 over Marco Carvajal, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. Carvajal was the NAIA national runner up a season ago and ranked No. 2 in the nation this season.


Ferreira, Martin Bed-carratz, Petar Popovic and Chris Carrilo also won in singles.


In women’s action, Southeastern (2-2) got off to a slow start in doubles and was unable to recover, falling 6-3.


SOSU’s No. 3 team of Elba Haugen and Marina Dias picked up the only Storm win in doubles.


In singles play, Conchi Assiego picked up a come-from-behind win at No. 3. Brittany Tobin also won at No. 6.
