DURANT — Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Breana Small-Peppers has been named the Great American Conference Player of the Week following her efforts in helping SOSU to a 2-1 record in the opening week of the season.


The Savage Storm opened with a win over Texas A&M-Commerce and added a victory over Texas-Permian Basin before falling to Midwestern State.


Small-Peppers averaged 17 points and 11.7 rebounds while shooting 60 percent.


Against A&M-Commerce, she scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, following up with a second double-double — 10 points and 11 rebounds — against UTPB.
