LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Austin College women’s basketball player Erin Riley has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the second straight week an Austin College player has earned this award.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Austin College women’s basketball player Erin Riley has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the second straight week an Austin College player has earned this award.


Riley, a senior forward from Battle Creek, Michigan, averaged 22.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in two games against Southwestern and Trinity. She scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds against the Pirates and had a career-high 30 points and added eight rebounds in a win over the No. 25-ranked Tigers.


Riley shot 51.5 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from long range, hitting nine three-pointers — including six against Trinity.


Against Trinity, she scored 23 of her 30 in the second half to help hand the Tigers their first SCAC loss since the 2011-12 season. For the year, Riley is seventh in the SCAC in scoring and her 41 three-pointers lead the conference.
