DURANT — Southeastern head volleyball coach Jenn King has resigned to accept the same position at Nova Southeastern.

King departs after four seasons guiding the Savage Storm volleyball program since taking over in the spring of 2010.

"This was not an easy decision, but I am proud to have been a part of the Savage Storm family and the Durant community for the past four years," King said. "I can only hope that I have had as much of a positive impact on the community as it has had on me, both personally and professionally."

King leaves the program with a career record of 42-80 overall and a combined conference mark of 26-32 with her first season being in the Lone Star Conference and the last three years in the Great American Conference. King helped guide the team to conference tournament appearances in each of the GAC’s first three seasons.

King’s best season came in 2011 when she guided the team to a third-place finish in the GAC during the league’s first year of competition, finishing with a 10-6 mark in the conference. She also coached the league’s inaugural Player of the Year that season in Lunden Azuara.
