The Austin College baseball team committed four errors in the first two innings, leading to six early runs for visiting Castleton State College in a 9-7 loss on Sunday afternoon.


The ‘Roos (1-7) got on the board in the bottom of the third when Gus Daniel drove in Will Schommer and Marcos Molina doubled home Daniel Keene to make it 6-2. Keene added a sacrifice fly in the fourth and later tripled home a pair of runs.


Keene went 2-for-4 with three RBI to pace the ‘Roos offensively and Patrick Renz went 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Todd Takabuki took the loss.
