Class 2A state champion Bells and Class 1A runner-up Ector had multiple players selected to the all-state tournament softball teams.


Led by sophomore outfielder and MVP Bella Smith, defended its crown with a 9-5 victory over Normangee. She was joined on the 2A team by senior catcher Ashley Sloan, sophomore pitcher Cheyenne Floyd, freshman third baseman Mia Moore and freshman shortstop Gabby Smith.


Ector, which made it to the title game for the first time and had a 3-0 loss against defending champion Slocum, saw three players named to the 1A team — junior Destiny Whitburn was picked for the utility spot along with senior outfielder Sunnie Bingham and senior third baseman Montana Johnson.
