DURANT, Okla. — Southeastern Oklahoma State first baseman Elexis Watson received another honor for the 2018 season, this time earning D2CCA First Team All-Central Region honors after earning First Team NFCA All-Central Region recognition.
The freshman from Muskogee, Okla., was named the Great American Conference Freshman of the Year as well as receiving first team All-GAC honors and was additionally named a Co-Most Outstanding Female Athlete for Southeastern.
Watson was ranked in the GAC top five in nine different offensive categories, including average, slugging, home runs, doubles and RBI. She hit .391 and finished with 71 hits, 16 homers, 19 doubles while driving in 54 runs and scoring 43.
She slugged .767 and boasted a .488 on-base percentage while carried a .995 fielding percentage at first base.
Southeastern finished the season with a 34-23 record overall and third in the GAC.
