DURANT, Okla. — In the final week of the season, Southeastern Oklahoma State baseball player Austin Ferguson has earned Great American Conference Co-Player of the Week honors following his performance in a three-game sweep of rival East Central.

Ferguson, a junior from The Colony, had an .818 average for the week after going 9-of-11 at the plate with a double, a triple and a home run while driving in seven runs as Southeastern outscored ECU, 39-19, for the series.

He had multiple hits in each of the three games against the Tigers and finished the season on a nine-game hitting streak, posting at least two hits in eight of those contests.

The series sweep had Southeastern finish the year at 22-23 overall and 17-15 in GAC play, but in eighth place in the standings, just missing the postseason tournament.
