Nancy Castorena was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and scored, Kaylee Pruitt singled, drove in two and scored and Abby Gilbreath walked twice, scored twice and drove in a run for Gunter (10-4, 3-1).

WHITESBORO — Payton Deaton was 3-for-3 with three RBI and scored twice as Pottsboro run-ruled Whitesboro in district action on Tuesday.

LEONARD — Claudia Ware was 3-for-3 and a double shy of the cycle, drove in a run and scored four times as first-place Leonard topped Lone Oak in district action on Tuesday.


Katlyn Brooks was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs, Chloey Baker was 2-for-3 and drove in a run and Taylor Stricklin homered and scattered two hits and two walks while not giving up an earned run and striking out seven for Leonard (8-8, 3-0).

VAN ALSTYNE — Alyssa Taylor doubled and scored during Van Alstyne’s district loss against Farmersville on Tuesday.


Ameryss Brogdon doubled and walked, Kinsey Lock singled, Jayna Stephens drove in a run and Jennah Williams scored for Van Alstyne (1-13, 0-3).
