WYLIE — Jillian Whitmire was 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI and scored as Sherman beat Wylie East, 9-2, in six innings at the Wylie Tournament on Thursday.


Kaitlin Caver was 2-for-4, drove in a run and scored, Jessica Bridges was 2-for-4 and scored twice, Jill Dixon drove in two runs and Jessica Shrum singled, drove in a run and scored twice for Sherman (3-6).


McKinney Tournament


Denison 6, Midland 6


McKINNEY — Kayla Daugherty was 4-for-4, drove in a run and scored as Denison earned a 6-6 tie against Midland at the McKinney Tournament on Thursday.


Kaylee Walters was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, two steals and scored, Madison Carter was 2-for-3 and scored and Elizabeth Linwood was 2-for-4, drove in a run and scored for Denison (2-4-1), which scored three times in the top of the seventh to avoid the loss.


Celina 11, Abilene 2 (5)


McKINNEY — Randi Dobbins threw a one-hitter and was 2-for-4 and scored as Celina topped Abilene at the McKinney Tournament on Thursday.


Micayla Galloway was 3-for-4 with two double, drove in a run and scored twice, Shayla Dell’Anno was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs, Alexys Ginegaw was 2-for-4 with two doubles, drove in a run and scored twice, Kalea Kellum doubled, drove in two runs and scored and Colbie Balsamo drove in two runs for the Lady Bobcats.


Anna-Van Alstyne Tournament


Anna 17, Blue Ridge 1 (4)


ANNA — Madison Gaston was 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and three runs as Anna finished the first day of its tournament with a victory against Blue Ridge on Thursday.


Lauren Kerns was 3-for-3 with a triple, drove in a run and scored four times, Shelbi Dombrowski and Fekyra Wells each drove in two runs, Hannah Howell singled, drove in two runs and scored three times and Chasity Brown walked three times and scored twice for Anna.


Anna started the day with a 7-3 victory against Bells in four innings. Madison McPherson singled, drove in two runs and scored, Howell was 2-for-3 with a double and drove in a run and Amber Thille doubled, drove in a run and scored.


Bells 8, Aubrey 2 (6)


ANNA — Mia Moore was 2-for-3 with a double, drove in a run and scored as Bells topped Aubrey at the Anna-Van Alstyne Tournament on Thursday.


Gabby Smith homered and scored twice, Ashley Sloan doubled and drove in a pair and Bella Smith scored twice for the Lady Panthers (6-2).


Bells started the day with a 7-3 loss against Anna in four innings. Cheyenne Floyd was 2-for-2 and scored, Gabby Smith singled and drove in two runs and Bella Smith doubled, drove in a run and scored.


Gunter 3, Tom Bean 2 (6)


MELISSA — Beth Gilbreath was 2-for-3 and scored during Gunter’s victory against Tom Bean at the Anna-Van Alstyne Tournament on Thursday.


Makenna Kincheloe was 2-for-3 and drove in a run, Kaylee Pruitt singled, drove in a run and scored and Andrea Montes singled and drove in a run for the Lady Tigers (6-2).


Gunter started the day with a 16-1 victory in three innings against Van Alstyne. Abby Gilbreath was 3-for-3 with a double, drove in a run and scored twice, Beth Gilbreath tripled, drove in three runs, walked twice and scored three times, Elizabeth Schroeter was 2-for-3 with two RBI and scored, Nyah Ingram drove in two runs and Taylor Boddie and Bri Carr each went 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored.


Sanger 11, Pottsboro 1


ANNA — Alex Massie was 2-for-2 with a double and drove in a run during Pottsboro’s loss against Sanger at the Anna-Van Alstyne Tournament on Thursday.


Lauren Hicks singled, Anna Roebuck walked twice and Kendall Rainey walked and scored for the Lady Cardinals.


Whitewright 4, Sanger 4 (6)


ANNA — Gracie Robinson homered and drove in two runs as Whitewright tied Sanger in tournament action on Thursday.


Sage Harlow was 2-for-3, drove in a run and scored while Hannah Mangrum and Katie Phillips drove in runs for the Lady Tigers.


Kyleigh Clements singled and drove in a run during Whitewright’s 4-2 loss against Community. Harlow singled while Grace Clark and Mangrum walked.


Byron Nelson Tournament


Timber Creek 5, Bonham 0


TROPHY CLUB — The Lady Warriors suffered their first loss of the season against Timber Creek at the Byron Nelson Tournament on Thursday.


Katie Dunston, Carsyn Hemby and Kelsey Odom singled for Bonham (9-1-1).


Bonham started the day with a 5-5 tie in six innings against Denton Guyer. Hemby tripled, drove in three runs and scored, Shelby Jones was 2-for-3 and scored, Mackenzie Downs doubled, drove in a run and scored and Raegan Shackelford doubled and drove in a run.


Lindsay Tournament


Trenton 15, Kennedale 1 (4)


LINDSAY — Maddison Lavoie went 3-for-3 with three RBI as Trenton beat Kennedale on the first day of the Lindsay Tournament.


Rami Copeland was 3-for-4 with three RBI, Karleigh Carter was 2-for-3 and drove in two runs and Brooke Connelly was 2-for-4 with two RBI for Trenton.


The Lady Tigers opened with an 18-1 victory in three innings against Nocona. Lavoie was 4-for-4 with three RBI, Jessica Withrow was 3-for-3 with four RBI, Carley Stone was 3-for-4, drove in two runs and allowed just two hits for the victory and Connelly was 2-for-3 with three RBI.
