DURANT, Okla. — Southeastern Oklahoma State’s Kevin Buckingham earned Great American Conference Player of the Week honors following his performance last week as the Savage Storm swept a pair of conference rivals.


He averaged a double-double for the week with 18.5 points and 11 rebounds per game while shooting 51.9 percent from the field for the week.


In a 92-82 win over Southern Arkansas he finished with 17 points and six rebounds while shooting 7-of-11 from the floor and hitting both threes he took.


In a 68-61 win over Arkansas-Monticello, Buckingham turned in a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds.


Southeastern will be back in action Thursday with a 7:30 p.m. matchup at Henderson State.
