Ikia Lacy added 13 points and nine rebounds, Taryn Gaines totaled eight points and 11 rebounds, Olivia Marr finished with eight points, seven assists and four rebounds and Zachareia Sommers scored seven points for Denison (21-4, 4-0), which outscored Braswell by 19 points in the second half.

Melissa 78, Bonham 28

BONHAM — Sally Clemmons had 21 points, eight rebounds and four steals as Melissa opened district play with a victory against Bonham on Friday night.

Taylor Carney added 18 points, five steals and four rebounds, Taylor Thomas chipped in 16 points and four assists and Charley Lane totaled six points and six rebounds for Melissa (20-3, 1-0).

Melanee Lewis and Haleigh Solano each scored six points to pace Bonham.

Gunter 44, Pilot Point 43

PILOT POINT — Bri Carr scored 17 points as Gunter edged Pilot Point in district action on Friday night.

Sarah Putnicki added 12 points and Channing Clement chipped in nine points for Gunter (6-15, 2-3).

Kenedee Gist scored 15 points and Christine Billmeier added eight points for Pilot Point.

Sam Rayburn 51, Tom Bean 37

IVANHOE — Kari Hall scored 15 points as Sam Rayburn opened district with a victory against Tom Bean on Friday night.

Natalie Nichols added 10 points and D.C. Barley chipped in nine points for Sam Rayburn.

Jillian Beck and Alyssa Edwards each scored 11 points and Kelly Cox added eight points for Tom Bean (8-14, 0-1).

Collinsville 64, Bells 54

COLLINSVILLE — Alexis Grove scored 10 points for Bells but Collinsville defeated the Lady Panthers in the district opener on Friday night.

Courtney Davidson, Bella Smith and Charli Waggoner all finished with eight points for Bells (5-11, 0-1).

TRENTON —Makiyah Johnson scored 15 points as Honey Grove started district play with a victory against Trenton on Friday night.

Diavian Shaw added 13 points and Alexandra Morrison chipped in eight points for Honey Grove (14-11, 1-0).

Addison Capehart scored 10 points to lead Trenton.

Blue Ridge 58, Wolfe City 46

WOLFE CITY — Lauren Turner scored 24 points for Wolfe City but Blue Ridge beat the Lady Wolves in the district opener on Friday night.

Dunia Russell added nine points and Laney Turner chipped in five points for Wolfe City (10-11, 0-1), which hosts Bland on Tuesday night.

District 22-A

Ector 43, Irving Universal 40

ECTOR — Stormy Shockley scored 11 points as Ector opened district play with a victory against Irving Universal on Friday night.

Sunnie Bingham added 10 points, Montana Johnson chipped in nine points and Destiny Whitburn finished with seven points for Ector (17-4, 1-0), which plays at Savoy on Tuesday night.

Tioga 40, Savoy 10

SAVOY — Destini Maness had 12 points, 12 rebounds and three steals as Tioga started district play with a victory against Savoy on Friday night.

Stormi Dutton added nine points, Brittany Barnett and Rylee Alexander finished with seven points apiece and Brianna Bradley grabbed 10 rebounds for Tioga (3-11, 1-0).

Mackenzie Bradshaw and Kloe Tallon scored four points each for Savoy.


Pottsboro 50, Van Alstyne 26

POTTSBORO — Madeline O’Hanlon had 14 points and seven rebounds as Pottsboro beat Van Alstyne in non-district action on Friday.

Haiden Williams added 10 points, Hannah Fellinger chipped in eight points and four steals and Pyper James totaled five assists and four rebounds for Pottsboro (21-4).

Dodd City 88, CHESS 21

DODD CITY — Abby Weeks scored 26 points as Dodd City defeated CHESS in a non-district game on Friday night.

Paige Granstaff added 21 points, Journie Hilliard finished with 18 points and Dani Baccus totaled 13 points for Dodd City (23-1).

Denton Calvary 31, Texoma Christian 30

DENTON — Megan Langenbahn scored 10 points for Texoma Christian but Denton Calvary hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to beat the Lady Eagles in non-district action on Friday.

Tinsley Love added six points while Morgan Baca and Bree Yale finished with five points apiece for Texoma Christian (5-14).
