Jaylyn Cleamons had 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals for Sherman but the Denton Ryan edged the Bearcats, 64-63, in District 5-5A action at Bearcat Gymnasium on Tuesday afternoon.

Jeremy Norvell added 15 points and four assists, Blaise Bentsen finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Kemonte Dowdy totaled 10 points and three assists for Sherman (12-10, 1-1), which has the district bye on Friday.

Denton Ryan (12-3, 1-0) was down by seven at half-time.

Denton 95, Denison 50

Pierce Barker had 13 points during Denison's 5-5A loss against Denton at Denison on Tuesday night.

Mykel Anderson added 11 points and Dontre Flowers chipped in eight points for the Yellow Jackets (7-14, 0-2), who play at Denton Braswell on Friday night.

Van Alstyne 87, Farmersville 39

VAN ALSTYNE — Noah Boling hit six three-pointers and finished with 28 points as Van Alstyne topped Farmersville in district action on Tuesday night.

Samuel Tormos added 17 points, C.J. Luetwyler chipped in eight points and Jackson Rogers and Tyler Sperry finished with seven points apiece for Van Alstyne (14-8, 2-0).

Non-district

Celina 85, McKinney Christian 46

CELINA — Kobe Ollison and Karson Stastny each scored 18 points as Celina beat McKinney Christian in non-district action on Tuesday.

Hayden Hollin added 11 points while Noah Ross and Bryson Brown finished with eight points apiece for Celina.

Wolfe City 56, Hooks 49

WOLFE CITY — Jed Cagle and Cody Greenway each scored 16 points as Wolfe City beat Hooks in non-district play on Tuesday night.

Mo Russell added eight points and seven rebounds for the Wolves.

Tom Bean 61, Ector 59

ECTOR — Blakeston Jones scored 19 points as Tom Bean beat Ector in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Dillon Curd and Bryce Grier each had 12 points and Ben Lind added 10 points for Tom Bean (12-9).

Deviaire Patterson had 28 points to lead Ector (19-5).
