Whitewright’s Tyrone Swoopes and Gainesville’s David Moore made their NFL debuts in the Seattle Seahawks’ final game of the 2017 season on Sunday.

Swoopes, a tight end, and Moore, a wide receiver, were activated for the game and while they both played, neither had a catch in the 26-24 loss against the Arizona Cardinals.

Swoopes became the second Whitewright Tiger to play in the NFL, joining quarterback Will Cureton, who played one game for Cleveland in 1975.

Moore became the fourth Gainesville Leopard to play in the NFL, joining defensive backs Darcel McBath (2009-12), Kevin Mathis (1997-2006) and Ricky Royal (1990).

A third Texoma rookie also played for Seattle, Celina’s Jordan Roos, who made his seventh appearance on the offensive line.

In other action around the league, Denison’s Jordan Taylor had a career game with six catches for 65 yards in the Denver Broncos’ 27-24 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Taylor finished his second season with 13 catches for 142 yards and 11 punt returns for 103 yards.
