Former Sherman standout and University of Central Oklahoma senior wide receiver J.T. Luper was named first-team Conference Commissioners Association all-region for the Central Region, adding to his season-long list of achievements.
Luper, a Harlon Hill finalist for the Division II national player of the year, was also named Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Offensive Player of the Year, and is now on the ballot for CCA All-American.
Luper led the country with 110 receptions and 1,593 yards and finished with 12 touchdowns. All three are UCO single season records. Luper’s 1,593 yards not only led Division II, but all of college football.
