Ikia Lacy added 11 points and 16 rebounds, Zachareia Sommers chipped in six points and six rebounds, Maddi Nixon finished with five points and Taylor Dawes came up with four steals for the Lady Yellow Jackets (4-0), who play in the Polk Key Tournament at Hardin Simmons starting on Thursday.

Melissa 51, Frisco Lebanon Trail 36

FRISCO — Taylor Thomas had 15 points, seven steals and three blocks as Melissa defeated Lebanon Trail in non-district action on Monday.

Ashley Gideon added 15 points and eight rebounds, Natalie Conlin chipped in 13 points and five assists and Taylor Carney totaled nine points, four rebounds and four steals for Melissa (3-0).

Bonham 40, Tom Bean 22

TOM BEAN — Melanie Lewis scored 19 points as Bonham defeated Tom Bean in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Ari Phea chipped in eight points and Shelby Jones added five points for Bonham.

Cheyanne Worley led Tom Bean with six points and Abby Farrer chipped in five points for the Lady Tomcats.

Whitesboro 44, Lindsay 33

WHITESBORO — Piper Dunn had 14 points, four assists and three steals as Whitesboro beat Lindsay in non-district action on Tuesday.

Casey Monk totaled eight points, seven blocks and three assists, Karlee Schuessler finished with eight points, five rebounds and two steals and Gabbie Case chipped in five points and three rebounds for Whitesboro, which will compete in the Bells Tournament starting on Thursday.

Pottsboro 44, HSAA Blue 40

POTTSBORO — Haiden Williams had 22 points and five rebounds as Pottsboro defeated HSAA Blue in non-district action on Tuesday.

Riley Westervelt added eight points and 14 rebounds, Madeline O'Hanlon totaled five points, seven rebounds and four assists and Hannah Fellinger grabbed eight rebounds for the Lady Cardinals (2-0).

Van Alstyne 45, Blue Ridge 31

VAN ALSTYNE — Emma Donald scored a game-high 12 points Tuesday as Van Alstyne rallied past Blue Ridge.

Blue Ridge (0-1), playing its season opener after reaching the Class 2A Region II tournament in volleyball, led 19-15 at halftime, but Van Alstyne outscored the Lady Tigers 19-7 in the third quarter to take the lead.

Shelby Gerner scored nine points to lead Blue Ridge with Skyler Gerner adding eight points and Ellery Martin finished with seven points.

Torin Riddick added nine points and Maegan Thomas had eight points for Van Alstyne.

Honey Grove 44, Chisum 35

PARIS — Diavian Shaw scored 14 points as Honey Grove defeated Paris Chisum in non-district action on Tuesday night.

Makiyah Johnson added 10 points while Isabella Morrison and Zakia Smith chipped in six points apiece for Honey Grove.

Ector 45, Trenton 41

TRENTON — Destiny Whitburn scored 16 points and Sunnie Bingham added 11 points as Ector held off Trenton on Tuesday in non-district action.

Gabby Edwards and Jessica Withrow each scored nine points and Rikki Foreman added eight to lead Trenton (0-4).

Ector (3-0) led by nine entering the fourth quarter, but Trenton cut the margin to two before its comeback stalled.

Trenton will compete in the Blue Ridge Tournament this weekend, opening against Plano Coram Deo at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Dodd City 83, Celeste 15

CELESTE — Abby Weeks scored 25 points as Dodd City opened its season with a non-district victory against Celeste on Tuesday night.

Paige Granstaff added 22 points, Dani Baccus chipped in 12 points, Journie Hilliard totaled nine points and Delaney Pilliod finished with eight points for Dodd City.

Caddo Mills 29, Pilot Point 23

PILOT POINT — Kenedee Gist had eight points during Pilot Point's non-district loss against Caddo Mills on Tuesday night.

Embriaya Brown added six points and Debria Bailey finished with four points for the Lady Bearcats.
