DURANT, Okla. — Southeastern’s Alissa Benson wrote her name in the Great American Conference record book last week while leading the Savage Storm to a pair of wins and was named the GAC Setter of the Week for her work.

In the same match Benson passed Arkansas Tech’s Amber Cerillos for the top spot in career assists in the conference, while just a few plays later becoming the first Southeastern or GAC player to surpass 4,000 assists, and currently has 4,006.

She averaged 11.7 assists per set on the week in a 3-0 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State and a 3-1 win over Southern Nazarene.
