GUNTER — Braiden Clopton and Dylan Jantz each scored three times and the Gunter defense had another shutout as the defending state champion Tigers won their 25th straight game, 43-0, over Chisum in District 6-3A (II) action on Friday.


Clopton had five carries for 56 yards and two scored to go with three catches for 30 yards and a TD, Dylan Jantz finished with 72 yards and a touchdown on four carries and a 10-yard TD grab, Dylan Bower had the touchdown passes and Bryson Rigsby scored on the ground for Gunter (9-0, 5-0), which has the district bye this week before finishing the regular season against Leonard.


Chisum (3-5, 2-2) became the fifth team to get shutout by Gunter this season and the fourth district opponent. It is the most shutouts by the Tigers since they had six in 2008.


Prairiland 36, Whitewright 18


WHITEWRIGHT — Neal Taylor had 22 carries for 144 yards and a touchdown and two catches for 53 yards and a score during Whitewright’s district loss against Prairiland on Friday.


Dylan Cordell added 47 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and Marshall Mangrum had the TD pass and ran for 42 yards on five carries for Whitewright (2-6, 0-4).


Garrett Fletcher had 48 carries for 227 yards and three touchdowns for Prairiland (1-8, 1-4).


District 4-4A (I)


Decatur 65, Gainesville 51


GAINESVILLE — Draylon Franklin was 16-of-25 for 325 yards and six touchdowns with an interception during Gainesville’s district loss against Decatur on Friday.


Calion Baker had 21 carries for 159 yards and a touchdown and eight catches for 143 yards and three scores, Josh Kemp added three catches for 76 yards and two TDs and Jalen McGee finished with three catches for 68 yards and a touchdown for Gainesville (3-5, 1-2).


Wilson Hicks was 18-of-29 for 257 yards and four touchdowns and ran 12 times for 77 yards and three TDs for Decatur (4-4, 1-2).


District 7-4A (I)


Liberty-Eylau 38, Anna 24


TEXARKANA — Josh Abara had 166 yards and a touchdown on eight carries during Anna’s district loss against Liberty-Eylau on Friday.


Aaron Lee finished with 14 carries for 166 yards and a score, Noah Palshaw added three catches for 37 yards and a TD from Keelan Crosby for Anna (6-2, 2-1), which can clinch a playoff spot with a victory against Paris this week.


Decorian Phillips was 16-of-18 passing for 333 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a score for Liberty-Eylau (3-5, 2-1).


District 5-4A (II)


Bonham 42, Community 20


NEVADA — Tyler Rodriguez was 15-of-21 for 206 yards and three touchdowns and added 16 carries for 83 yards and two scores as Bonham defeated Community in district action on Friday.


Azyon Dunlap finished with 15 carries for 85 yards and TD, Noah Shellman had two catches for 64 yards and touchdown and Trevor Hartwell and Izaiah Epps caught TD passes for Bonham (3-5, 1-2).


District 6-2A (I)


Blue Ridge 47, Trenton 0


BLUE RIDGE — Garrett Mathers ran for 233 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries as Blue Ridge defeated Trenton in district action on Friday.


Kaden Walker added nine carries for 104 yards and a touchdown, Jacob Stroup and Seth McCarley added TDs and Christian Enloe returned an interception 85 yards for a score for Blue Ridge (3-6, 2-3).


Dakota Risner had 10 carries for 23 yards for Trenton (0-8, 0-4).


Celeste 49, Bells 21


CELESTE — Hunter Hawthorne had eight catches for 77 yards and a touchdown during Bells’ district loss against Celeste on Friday.


Hawthorne’s first reception of the night was the 300th of his career, making him the third Texas high school player to reach that milestone. He is two catches from passing Dallas Jesuit’s Jake Oliver for second place and 84 behind all-time leader Jared Reagan of Booker from 2011-14.


Eli Strickland finished with 24 carries for 166 yards, Jacob Taylor added 10 carries for 45 yards and a touchdown and Bryan Ponder was 20-of-30 for 147 yards, a touchdown, three interceptions and a TD run for Bells (6-2, 2-2), which fell into a third-place tie with Collinsville.


Celeste (7-1, 3-1) gained sole possession of second place by scoring 28 points in the fourth quarter.


District 9-2A (I)


Rivercrest 43, Honey Grove 2


HONEY GROVE — Jacob Caffee had 18 carries for 60 yards during Honey Grove’s district loss against Rivercrest on Friday.


Ben Patrick added seven carries for 33 yards and Keaton Thompson caught three passes for 34 yards for Honey Grove (4-4, 1-2).


Lucah Strickland ran for two touchdowns and threw a TD pass for Rivercrest (8-0, 3-0), which clinched a playoff spot with the victory.
