DURANT, Okla. — Southeastern Oklahoma State sophomore Caitlin Cosby has earned Great American Conference Defensive Player of the Wek honors after helping the Savage Storm to a 2-0 weekend.
Cosby leads the Great American Conference in digs on the year, averaging 5.99 per set and that is also ranked 11th in the nation.
In wins over Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello she averaged 7.43 digs per set over the seven sets of the weekend and added five service aces and 10 assists in the efforts.
She opened the weekend with 27 digs over four sets in a 3-1 win over SAU and followed that up with a 25 dig effort in a 3-0 win over UAM.
Southeastern will be back on the court Thursday when it travels to Southwestern Oklahoma State at 7 p.m.
