The Berry College Vikings forced seven turnovers — six of them interceptions — and converted five into scores Saturday to defeat the Austin College Kangaroos 44-10 Southern Athletic Association action at Apple Stadium.

Austin College (2-3 overall, 0-3 SAA) led 10-0 early in the second quarter before the Vikings (5-0, 3-0) began their rampage.

Berry quarterback Tate Adcock passed for three touchdowns, two to Trey Ciresi, while Austin Lowe rushed for 102 yards and a score.

Austin College’s Colt Collins was 15 of 31 passing for 184 yards and a TD, but was picked off five times.

The ’Roos started the scoring with a 15-play, 99-yard drive that resulted in Collins’ 30-yard TD pass to Kevin Ray. Brandon Evans then blocked a punt that set up Cesar Ruiz’s 34-yard field goal on the third play of the second quarter.

Berry answered with Lowe’s 20-yard TD run and Antonio White’s interception led to Ciresi’s 4-yard TD reception for the go-ahead touchdown.

The Vikings took a 20-10 halftime lead when Ciresi pulled in a 3-yard TD with 10 seconds left in the second quarter.

Berry turned four AC turnovers into points in the second half.

A fumble led to Trey Gregory’s 19-yard field goal in the third quarter and interceptions set up a 1-yard TD run by C.J. Stone, a 26-yard TD reception by Tristen Cline and a 1-yard TD run by Heath Burchfield with 9:16 remaining.
